Hi I'm Bryan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently working as a software developer. I enjoy theater, playing the piano, singing, drawing, reading and watching movies (I'm a big fan of Pixar, Disney Classics, and what's now considered old classics like Casablanca).

Why I am a Mormon

I've studied the scriptures (the Bible, Book of Mormon, etc), and have fasted and prayed about them. As I act and do the things I feel the Lord would have me do, I feel his reassuance of my actions. I know that God has answered my prayers, and have felt that answer many times over in my life as I continue striving to do what is right.

How I live my faith

I do what I can to participate. When there's a service activity, I'll do what I can to help out. I attend church every week and enjoy participating in other activities. I make an effort to read the scriptures and pray everyday, and try to go to the temple regularly. I teach classes at church and enjoyed the learning experience that it is.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Bryan
In any long journey, you should have a guide or a map. The scriptures are the guide that God has blessed us with to help us through our lives. There are many obstacles and trials. And, there are many blessings to be found along the way. By studying the scriptures regularly, the Lord can help show us what we need to do to live a full and happy life. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Bryan
The Book of Mormon was written many years ago by people who lived in the Americas. One of the last of these men, Mormon, took many of the records made by his people throughout their history, and compiled them into one book. These records compiled by Mormon where then shown to Joseph Smith centuries later, and with God's guidance, he was able to translate them for us to read today. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Bryan
We strongly believe in service. Just as Christ and his disciples of old, the members of His church today willingly volunteer their time and efforts to help others. This includes leadership responsibilities. Ordinary men and women are asked to help teach and guide, and most will freely accept the calling to serve. We feel that we are truly blessed by serving the Lord in this way. Show more Show less
