Hi I'm Cameron Ezra Jones

I'm a BYU student studying computer science. I'm a future husband and father in training. I'm a nerd. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Colorado Springs on June 20, 1990, to goodly parents who love the Lord. Unlike most young men, I did a service mission in my hometown, working in the Employment Center, Bishop's Storehouse, and at the Denver Temple. I love music, especially the uplifting music from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I also love to program, and am now working on attaining a computer science degree from BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised as a Mormon. My family from both sides joined the church in its early days.

How I live my faith

I am currently a service missionary working at the Bishop's Storehouse, LDS Employment Resource Services, and at the temple. I very much enjoy working with those who are less fortunate, and it makes me grateful for the blessings I have been given.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Cameron Ezra Jones
While Joseph Smith restored the true Church on the earth, brought forth the Book of Mormon, and restored all the keys of the priesthood, he was just a man like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and the other prophets in the scriptures. This is the Church of Jesus Christ, and it is Christ who we worship. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Cameron Ezra Jones
I love science, and to me, everything from the sun shining to how my body works is evidence of God and his love for me. Show more Show less

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Cameron Ezra Jones
We are made in the image of God. This is the greatest gift that we as his children have received. It is like receiving a brand new car from your parents. You would do everything humanely possible to ensure that no buffs or scratches appear on the paints, you'd spend hours tuning it to perform at its best, and you'd certainly would not allow someone else to take it for a spin! It should be the same with our bodies. Only by taking good care of them do we show the Lord how much we appreciate it. Show more Show less
