Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in the state of Georgia before moving to South Carolina. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a young husband and father. Born and raised in the "Bible belt" of the south. I became a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints in 2005. I enjoy going to the gun range with my wife and/or friends. I have also recently gained an interest in working out using the Insanity program. I work full time and attend a local college online full time as well. The gospel keeps me grounded and focused on what really matters.

Why I am a Mormon

Before being baptized and becoming a member of this church questions were always on my mind. The restored gospel answers them all. Questions like were did we come from? I had a hard time with the idea our spirit began at birth. Also, if we serve a just God how could he condem his children to hell if they never heard his gospel. The peace I have a a member of the Lord's true church and the strength it gives me is wonderful. I prayed to know of the truth and now I know.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by beginning my day with prayer. Kneeling with my family before we leave the house. I do my best to read the scriptures on a regular basis and the Ensign. It is by the small simple things that I try to live my faith. I have heard it said "Actions speak louder than words" - Author Unknown. My faith is lived by the small actions to let my savior know that I love him.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Ryan
Yes, they can. Husband and wife can be "sealed" or married for time and all eternity. I can't imagine being happy in heaven without my family. How wonderful it is for me to know that I can be with my wife and children forever! In the temple one who has authority can perform this eternal union of eternal family. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Ryan
This is something I feel can be answered quite simply. My prayers end "in the name of Jesus Christ" all the prayers given in church end the same. All that I do for any religious purpose are for and in the name of him who can save, Jesus Christ. Finally, the name of the Church has the name of the savior in it. Indeed, Mormons are Christian.
