Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 children - two boys and two girls. I like to sew, crochet, cook, and blog. Lately, I have been very interested in making food from scratch and becoming more self-reliant.

Why I am a Mormon

First, and foremost, I believe what is taught. I feel the love of the other members of the church.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I read the scriptures with my family and on my own every day. I work in the church to help the women become more self-reliant by teaching things like gardening, sewing, or how to make bread. I also help to organize various activities such as a weekly playgroup, Halloween party, Christmas dinner, picnics, etc. pretty much whatever sounds like fun and brings people closer together.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Nicole
In order to help others, we need to be able to take care of ourselves. If we can learn to be self-reliant we will be better able to serve and bless the lives of those around us. The modern-day prophets have counselled us to be more self-reliant and be prepared for emergencies. This includes having food storage on hand. Show more Show less
