Hi I'm Blake

I am a father, grandfather and husband. I work for the State of Washington and I'm a fifth generation Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of five children and 14 grandchildren. I have worked in public service at the local, state and federal levels for the last 38 years. I have been a medic in the U.S. Army, a deputy sheriff, computer programer and government administrator. I enjoy taking my grandkids fishing, working in my yard and watching old movies.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I am a fifth generation Mormon, I have had to ask in faith if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints is true. I have struggled at times but have always gone back to my foundation of belief that Jesus is the Christ, Joseph Smith is a prophet and the priesthood of God has been given again to man in these latter days. Through the blessings I have received and the peace I feel from the Lord, I have come to know for myself that Jesus Christ is my savior.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings on Sunday and serve in the Seattle Temple on Saturday evenings with my wife. I try to be like Jesus every day and treat everyone I meet as a brother or sister.
