Hi I'm Amy

I'm a mother of two and a faithful member of the LDS (mormon) church.

About Me

I am a mom of two beautiful boys and married to an amazing man! I love to cook, play sports, read a good book, do a few crafts and always learn a new skill. I have a B.S. in Child Development and I am always trying to learn new things. Right now I am trying to figure out how to garden and preserve the bounty from my garden.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church because my parent's became members before they got married. It wasn't until I was a young adult that I really gained a testimony for myself and realized that this is the true church of Christ, that we do have a prophet here on the earth who receives revelations for us and that I can one day return to live with my Heavenly Father. I also know that Christ atoned for our sins and that if we go to him with a repentant heart that we can be made whole again.

How I live my faith

Currently I teach from the scriptures to the children in our ward. I love being able to see their minds going and to help them develop their own testimony of the Gospel. I attend our church meetings each Sunday and activities that are planned throughout the week. I try to read my scriptures every day and keep open communication with my Heavenly Father through prayer. Even though it is very difficult with two young children and a busy schedule, we try and also have a family night once a week.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Amy
Mormon temples are used for a sacred place for us to get away from the world and worship our Heavenly Father. They create an environment where we can feel his spirit more fully because they aren't full of worldly things. We go there to learn more fully about why were are here, what to do here on earth and what will happen to us when we pass on. Show more Show less
