Hi I'm Daron

I grew up in southern Arizona. I am the father of 4 beautiful daughters. I'm a Stake President. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am busily trying to balance being a good husband, father, employee and Stake President in Lindon, Utah. I have four beautiful daughters who keep me and especially my wife very busy. My oldest daughter is currently serving as a missionary in the Belgium/Netherlands Mission. When I do have some spare time, I enjoy fly fishing, camping, the outdoors, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents were Mormons so I was raised in the Mormon church. What a wonderful way to raise a family! More importantly than my parents and their beliefs, I know of myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true! Several experiences in my life have strengthened my testimony of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. The very first stirrings of a testimony began when my mother taught me how to pray. Because of the many experiences I have had with prayer, I know we have a loving Heavenly Father. As I began to seriously read the Book of Mormon, the Holy Ghost testified that Jesus is the Christ; the immortal Son of God. When I served my mission in Korea, my testimony of the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith and the reality of the restoration of the priesthood grew and developed. Through many more spiritual experiences, both in my life and in the lives of my friends and family my testimony continues to grow and my conversion deepens. I strive to follow the teachings of Jesus as taught by the Church. "(Christ's) way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come."

How I live my faith

Currently, I am serving as the Stake President of the Lindon Utah West Stake in Lindon, Utah, USA. What a wonderful experience! I feel so privelaged as I work with some of the best members in the kingdom who are just doing their best to be good boys and girls. My testimony of Jesus Christ and His church has grown as I watch every member strive to do what is right and serve each other. My heart aches for others when they are not finding happiness in life and as they struggle through the challenges of this world. My heart rejoices though as children of God apply the Atonement of Jesus Christ. One of the absolutes in my life is that we have a loving Heavenly Father who loves us. He wants us to reach our full potential and return to live with Him again.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Daron
My family means the world to me and it is in my family that I have really grown and developed. My loving daughters and very patient wife have helped rub off a few of the many rough spots of my character. My family life provides character refinement and helps prepare me to live with my Heavenly Father again. I can live with a lot of trial and tribulation, I can even live with out a lot of the "nice" things this earth provides, but I cannot live without the doctrine and knowledge that the family is eternal. I love the words of "The Family is of God"; a primary song that our young children sing. "God gave us families to help us become what He wants us to be. This is how He shares His love, for the fam'ly is of God." Show more Show less
