Hi I'm William Keith, II

I grew up in Las Vegas. I served a volunteer mission in the Philippines. I am a senior in college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student. I enjoy cooking, socializing, golfing when I play good, and talking to people about Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a teenager, I remember having difficulty in getting along with my family. I think a lot of teenagers go through tough times. I remember being argumentative, and trying to just oppose my brothers, sisters, and parents at every opportunity possible. If my brother asked for something, I would refuse. If my sisters gave me suggestions, I would try to prove them wrong. If my dad tried to teach me some life lessons, I would strongly disagree. My parents could probably tell that something wasn't quite right with me, and inside I knew that something just felt off. I felt so frustrated and angry. I didn't have peace with myself. Over the course of a couple of months, I can remember my father teaching me about God and how He would listen to our prayers. I can also remember how he taught me about Jesus Christ and how He came to suffer for our sins. I couldn't quite understand how this all worked, but I knew that my dad loved me and that he wouldn't lie to me. I knew that what he was saying was true. I resolved to pray to God and ask Him for help. I can recall the sweet, peaceful, and calming feelings that came in answer to my prayer. I felt that God really did exist, that He knew of my difficulties, my guilt, my regrets and that He still loved me immensely. I knew that the things my dad taught me were not just some nice story, but that God was real. As I went to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (AKA Mormon church), the same feelings that I had while praying were also felt in their church. Furthermore, the teachings in the church helped me to learn to be kind to my family and to serve others in my community. These things brought so much happiness and peace in my life. I know this church is true and that it is God's church. Please listen to the missionaries because the things they teach will bring so much peace into your life and family. It will also strengthen your relationship with God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to study and live by the messages taught in the Bible and Book of Mormon(another book of scripture that is similar to the Bible) each day. I try to also be of service to those in my local community by just visiting a friend, bringing by some cookies to cheer someone up, and volunteering at the local hospital. I love to also share messages about Jesus Christ with those near me. It's amazing how much we all learn as we talk about Jesus Christ and try to be more like Him. Another way that I live my faith is by just working to my best in whatever I do. I strive to be honest and fair with others.
