Hi I'm Jason Parker

I'm a Father, husband, Super Hero, space explorer, and I am Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 5 boys, raised a southern Baptist. I am the only member of the Church in my family. I also am a very proud father to two of the best kids in the universe, and married to the love of my life my companion through all the good and bad times. I became a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of latter-Day Saints when I was 20. I like to scuba dive and be outside. I dont like to stay still to long because I feel I might miss out on soemthing. I work as News Photographer telling stories about people and thier lives, but he best story I ever got to tell was the one of Jesus Christ when I served my mission in Anaheim, California. So, I am a Father, husband, photographer, adventurer, and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in what I have learned about the the church. When I was looking into diffrent churches I would allways ask a LOT of questions and I would feel that they would say what I wanted to hear. When I met the Missonaries from the Mormon Chruch I asked them the same questions and after we got done talking one of the missionaries said to me "Jason we talked alot, read alot, learned alot, now you need to find out for yourself if what you have heard and learned is true. Don't take our word for it. Find out by asking your Father in Heaven if it is true." So I did. It took awhile for the answer to come. I had to prepare my self for it; the life style and the idea of handing over my life to GOD just didn't seem that easy. I work on it every day and fall short. That's when I learned about faith and the atonement and what role it plays in my life. So Why am I a Mormon? Because I am not perfect, because I am closer to my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ, because of what I have learned and continue to learn everyday, because of the Book of Mormon and the teachings that are taught in it and in the Bible are true, because my Father in Heaven loves my and I love him and I love my family.

How I live my faith

Service is one of the hardest things for people to do sometimes. Service is what life is like in the LDS Church. We live to serve one another, love one another. It isn't about having a calling to serve but just helping someone out. Like visting someone who needs a freind or just someone to say hi. I do not hold a calling in the church. Like most people I have a very busy life with work and two kids and wife home to take care of but with all that I try to do something although little at times but something to serve someone at work, home, or at church wherever I can. Live by being an example to others. Being diffrent is great way to share the gospel and get people to ask questions about you. Trust me I am diffrent. I am not perfect but I try to be who I am . ME.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Jason Parker
If we only help other Mormon's then we are failing at waht being Christ like is all about Charity, Love, Hope,Kindness. Christ like attributes that we all shoud share and have it's the one thing that really stands out to me about the church is the memebers willingness to help anyone in need no matter who they are or where they come from or how much money someone makes every ne needs help at somepoint in ther lives big or little we are all important and worth of someone's help at some time.
