Hi I'm Chris Wilson

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I worked mainly in the communications field and started working as an admissions consultant for a local university. I am married to a wonderful woman. We have a son who is one, and we are expecting our next addition in January. I am currently in school completing my bachelor degree. My wife does an amazing job raising our son and making sure our lives run smoothly. We enjoy spending as much time together as a family as we can. We are constantly with our extended families and love to travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the church. My father was a convert to the church while my mother grew up in a part member family. I have always been surrounded by the gospel and it's teachings. HOWEVER, the reason I am a Mormon is because of the knowledge I have gained of the truthfulness of it's teachings. I have enjoyed speaking with members of other religions and have come to respect and value their beliefs. I feel that religion in any shape can influence people for good. However, it has been through The Gospel of Jesus Christ I have found the means to be happy in this life and find the peace I need concerning my family's and my own purpose here.

How I live my faith

I believe that I live my faith in my interactions with my wife, my children and those I associate with. My wife and I have the opportunity to teach a few of the children ages 8-9 in our area each Sunday. We are able to help them better understand Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the plan that they have for each of us. We also spend time serving our community, family and friends.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Chris Wilson
We believe in grace. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, offered his life in our behalf. And was resurrected as a glorified, immortal being. It is because of this that we will receive our bodies again. It is through grace that we will live as immortal beings. Nothing has been done or will need to be done on our part to live worthy or deserving of this blessing. Jesus Christ, by overcoming death, made it possible for us to live eternally. We believe that it is through the Atonement of Christ that we can return and live with our Heavenly Father. This requires work on our part. It is not a gift that will be afforded to everyone. It requires a constant effort to repent and overcome the trials and obstacles of this life. While through grace we have the opportunity to live forever, it is through our faith in the atonement and our works or efforts to follow Jesus Christ that we are able to return and live with our Heavenly Father.
