Hi I'm Rebekah

Married. Mommy. Work full time. And I'm glad to be Mormon.

About Me

I am a married-full time working-mommy. I graduated college this past year with a major in Exercise and Wellness with a minor in gerontology. I have a beautiful 2.5 year old daughter and a loving husband. I have been a member since I was 8 years old and have seen countless blessing of having the gospel in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were Mormon when I was born so I was able to grow up seeing their example. I am Mormon because I love to be happy. Following the commandments, obeying the Word of Wisdom, having an often connection to my church members, reading my scriptures, praying daily, and having a strong leadership to look up help me to live a life that leads to true happiness. I know that the gospel is true, and I love my Savior Jesus Christ and am thankful for the atonement. I have seen the times when I was straying away from the church thinking I could do things on my own and know that I wouldn't have the life I have now if it wasn't for the guidance and wonderful council of this church.

How I live my faith

I am in the compassionate service committee in my ward. I help plan meals for those in need, organize get togethers to do service, and help the new members to get known to the other members. I love my calling and have seen great happiness (in others lives, as well as mine) come through serving others. I also do my monthly visiting teaching to two wonderful sisters. I love to spend time with them talking about the gospel and what their needs are. I am very thankful for my visiting and home teachers because they help our family stay focused on helping and serving each other and are fun to have over.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Rebekah
The Word of Wisdom is amazing set of council that as faithful Mormons we follow. It includes not partaking of harmful substances such as tobacco and alcohol. It also talks about eating health foods such as herbs, grains and fruits and to eat meat sparingly (not too often). By following these councils we are promised to have strength in our bodies and have energy to live a great life. Show more Show less
