Hi I'm Gary

I am a husband, father of 7 and a grandfather of 16. Retired from the RV business and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy being outdoors, I am a ATV enthusiast enjoying 4 wheeling with my wife and anyone else who would like to join in. A whitewater rafter, a hunter enjoying elk, deer, duck and goose hunting. One of my favorite elk hunts was when my 5 year old grandson was helping me call elk by saying "here elk, here elk". We did not get anything that day. A cyclist, both mountain biking and road biking. My last birthday, turned 60, I road my bike for a 100 mile ride. I am a family man. I love being with my family. I really enjoy when a bunch of us are together, grandkids running all around making bunches of noise and me just watching all the ruckus from the background. And of course I love taking the grandkids for 4 wheeler rides, tractor rides, etc.. I am a father of seven and grandfather of 16, so far. This is really what my life is about, our wonderful family. I am a retired business man. We sold our RV, motor homes, travel trailers and fifth wheels, business in 2007. Allowing me to spend more time outdoors and with my family. My favorite thing to do is being with my beautiful bride of 40 years as of Jan. 31, 2015. She is the best. It doesn't really matter much what we are doing as long as I can be with her I am a happy camper. Jesus Christ is the center of my life. All the other only works when I am following the teachings of Christ. Without Him I would be lost and not have all the blessings mentioned before. I am the happiest when I am doing my best to serve Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Why ami I Mormon? Well it would be easy to say I am a Mormon because of all the good being a Mormon has done for me and my family. Because I have tried to follow the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I know that I am better father and husband, a better member of the community, just a better person than I would be if I had chosen other ways to live my life. So I can easily say that I am a Mormon because it makes me a better person, but it really isn't that simple. I know there are a lot of other organizations, churches, clubs, etc. that help people be better people so why am I really a Mormon? The real reason I am a Mormon is because I know that Jesus Christ was resurrected. I know that He lives. I know that He has restored His church upon the earth today. I know that His church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that Jesus Christ leads and directs His church through a modern day living prophet, even Thomas S. Monson. I know the priesthood power of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. I know that our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ know me personally and want me to be happy. I know that if I will follow Jesus Christ and His teachings of the past, scriptures, His teachings of the present, following current teachings of His prophet and by following the future teachings of His prophets, I will be happy and I will again be able to live with Him again along with my family. I know this to be true because the Spirit, the Holy Ghost, has told me personally so. I know it to be true, therefore I cannot deny what I know to be true. So I must be a member of His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or commonly referred to as a Morman. That is why I AM A MORMAN.

How I live my faith

I have tried to be faithful in keeping the commandments, serving when and where asked and seeking out service opportunities. I have been a primary teacher of young children. A Sunday School teacher of adults. A young men leader working with the young men ages 12-18. And I have had responsibilities that have given me opportunities to work closely with the families of our ward or branch. I am currently preparing to serve with my bride as missionaries in the Hong Kong China temple.
