Hi I'm Brady

I grew up in California. I teach United States history. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 27 year old dad with two awesome kids and one more on the way. My wife and I started dating in high school and she is still my best friend. I teach United States history and love it. I coach my sons t-ball team and enjoy playing baseball, basketball and racquetball.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church. It helped me so much when I was trying to figure out who I was and what my purpose in life is. Many of my friends growing up were also Mormon, and they really helped me have good morals while having a blast. Now as an adult, the main reason I continue to be a Mormon is because I know this church is led by Jesus Christ. I know through the power of prayer that Jesus Christ is our savior and Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God that restored Christ's one true church. We have a prophet today that leads and guides us. The living prophet and apostles words have blessed my life in countless ways. I have also seen these blessings come to many of my close friends, my family, and complete strangers. This church really can help everyone.

How I live my faith

My wife and I recently planned and organized a weekend trip for the youth in our area to have fun and learn how to recognize spiritual experiences. With a friend I also visit a couple of families in the church every month to make sure their families have everything they need and to share a spiritual message with them. I work at one of our beautiful temples once a week to help everyone that attends have an uplifting experience.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is a book of scripture we read along with the Bible. The Book of Mormon is another testament that Jesus Christ is the savior of the world. I love the Book of Mormon because it clears of some doctrines that are confusing in the Bible. If everyone that read the Bible also read the Book of Mormon, there would be so much less confusion throughout the Christian world. The Book of Mormon takes place during much of the same time as the Bible, but it is the record of those living in the Americas during this time. It is a record written by ancient prophets about the doctrines and blessings given to the righteous people and the trials the wicked went through because of their unbelief. Joseph Smith translated this ancient record by the power of God, and feeling the spirit tell me that the Book of Mormon was true also helped me to know that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he lives, and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

As Joseph Smith said, "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly." We believe the Bible is a compilation of scripture written by ancient prophets and apostles in the Eastern world. We also believe the Book of Mormon is scripture written by ancient prophets, but from the western world on the American continents. Both the Bible and the Book of Mormon teach us about God's plan for us, and testify that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. Show more Show less
