Hi I'm Jana

I am a mother. I am a wife. I am a daughter of God. That's the most important bit. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Now that the children are living away from home, I spend my days studying the Gospel, designing and making clothes, greeting cards and other handwork. I enjoy working on my family tree. I travel a good bit with my professor husband. I was born in the US and live in the kingdom of the Netherlands.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I cannot deny the knowledge I have. The more I study , the more solid my witness is of the Godhead and of eternity. The Priesthood is essential to the Great Plan of Happiness; all the works I do in the name of the priesthood are essential to bring forward the great Plan. I take my task as a protector and steward of the Church of Jesus Christ seriously. I know the Gospel is true.

How I live my faith

Even though my husband is an atheist, we live a faith based life. There are prayers before meals, we keep a low key family day Sabbath, our home is a refuge for others. I have duties to fulfill every Sunday, and he supports me in those activities and drives me to far away night meetings if needed. We serve as cleaners for the church building regularly. I teach the women's class regularly and he helps me rehearse the Dutch pronunciation to prepare. And he translates all my talks from English. I have been the Chairman on the Music department in my unit for over 10 years, and conduct most of the singing in our building.
