Hi I'm Mike Weech

I'm originally from Southern California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married since June of 1979. We have three children - two boys and a girl - and all three are grown. We now have three grandsons and three granddaughters. I've worked in a variety of positions, including buying and transportation management, sales, operations management, and finance - mainly in food manufacturing companies. I've been very blessed where work is concerned. In fact, I enjoy many more blessings than I've earned!

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born in the Church, I had to question for myself what I believed. A good friend invited me to attend an Institute of Religion class on the Book of Mormon during my first semester of junior college. While studying the Book of Mormon for that class, I had a clear and unmistakeable spiritual impression that the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God. After having been opposed to the idea for a long time, and once I had a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel, I was blessed to serve a mission for the Church in Argentina. I was able to bear testimony to many people about my own conversion, and was blessed with many spiritual experiences, the memory of which has strengthened me at times since then.

How I live my faith

Over the years, one thing that I've seen is that our example can be very powerful. I've seen many great examples of people who are faithful, both who were members of my Church and who were members of other faiths. What I've seen in them and tried to emulate in my own life is a consistency in behaviors. For instance, my faith teaches me that we are all children of the same loving Heavenly Father. Because of this, I have a responsibility to treat all my brothers and sisters with respect, regardless of their own stations in life. One of the ways I show this respect is by using clean, respectful language. My family and my associates at work can be safe in the knowledge that they won't be assaulted by bad language coming from me, and the environment of respect around us and between us can grow stronger.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Mike Weech
One thing our Father in Heaven wants for us all is to return to Him and live eternally in His presence. In order to do that, He will provide for us guidance on how to live our lives on earth. He wants us to know and understand true principles, which are unchanging and eternal. He has given us the means to talk to Him through prayer, and He wants us to come to Him in prayer with our questions and requests for guidance. If we sincerely study the principles of the Gospel, as taught by His servants here, the missionaries, and if we go to Him in prayer, He will answer us in a clear and unmistakeable way, just as He answered me, that what we've studied is the truth. Once we have that answer, we can then follow in the way He wants us to go to be able to return to our Heavenly Home. Show more Show less
