Hi I'm Chris

I was born in Salt Lake City. I served an LDS mission in Canada. I was in the Army. I'm a married father of four. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Bountiful, Utah. After serving an LDS mission to northern Alberta, and after two years of college, I decided to enlist in the army, where I served as an airborne infantryman at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with one, short deployment to Iraq in 2004. The army gave me recruiting duty orders, sent me to Upstate New York, where I met my wife. We have four children.

Why I am a Mormon

As I study the scriptures with some of the young people in our area, I find my faith being renewed. Through many experiences over my lifetime, my conversion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ as been reconfirmed. From the time I was a kid I could sense that God was aware of me and that He was answering my prayers. As I read the Book of Mormon on my own as a teenager, I felt strong spiritual feelings that the book is true. Now, as I read and listen to the young people with whom I study the scriptures in the online program, my faith is verified and renewed.

How I live my faith

The religious part of my life is vital to me. My faith gives me hope and optimism for the future and keeps me busy doing good things. I attend Church on Sundays and I value hearing and learning from others about how they see God working in their everyday lives. The church assignment I've been asked to do is to help high-school-age church members participate in a daily, online, scripture-study program. I really do love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
