Hi I'm To'afa

About Me

I am a fun, loving and family oriented person. I was raised in Hawai'i but now reside on the mainland. Everything about me centers around my beliefs as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I enjoy spending time with my family for family is everything!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church upon the earth that follows the Church that Christ organized when he was on the earth, with apostles, prophets, teachers and evangelists (patriarchs).

How I live my faith

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not a Sunday only thing. It is living your religion 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I try to act and do as Christ did while he was on the earth. Although I am far from perfect, I do my best to emulate His life. I try to help those around me whether a member of my faith or not. A prophet in the Book of Mormon said it best, "when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God".

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

To'afa
As Mormons, we have what we call the Lords Law of Health which is known as the Word of Wisdom. We believe that since our bodies are temples and we should not defile our bodies with harmful substances and are to abstain from coffee, tea, tobacco, alcohol and harmful drugs or any habit forming substances. We are however to eat meat sparingly, eat tons of vegetables and fruits. Exercise is also part of the Word of Wisdom and it should also be done to help keep the body in shape. Show more Show less

What is the priesthood?

To'afa
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints believe that the priesthood is the power and authority to act in the name of God. We believe that without proper authority, we could not have the full blessings of the Church Christ organized when he was on the earth. It is through the priesthood, the Church was organized, temples built and we are able to enjoy the fullness of the Gospel (every blessing that is offered by obedience to God's commandments). What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

To'afa
The missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day-Saints or Mormon Elders/Sisters will share with you the plan of happiness (Plan of Salvation) that Heavenly Father provided for each of us. They will also share the role of Prophets, temples and how families are eternal. They will provide answers to many questions youʻve been asking for a long time - such as; what is the purpose of life?, why am I here? what will happen after death? Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in “eternal life?”

To'afa
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints AKA Mormons, we believe that through prophets God has restored the knowledge that a man and woman can be married for time and all eternity and not just till death. We believe that our family ties do not end after a death of a loved one, it will be forever. Show more Show less
