Hi I'm John Albert

I have spent 51yrs with my wife,40yrs driving a truck,I have 4 Children,12 Grand Children and I am happy, and yes, I am Mormon

About Me

I am an elder gentleman very much in the twilight of my years. I have much to be thankful for in this life, I was Blessed with a wonderful Wife, four beautiful Children, and twelve Grandchildren. after fifty years together, I lost my beloved wife to cancer. although my health has taken a turn, I know I will see her again, and that brings me peace. I keep myself busy now by writing stories, and staying in contact with my Family. I also look for ways that I can help others, sometimes as simple as holding a door, sometimes just listening. I have learned so much in this life, how to love, how to understand, how to listen. simple things that can mean so much.

Why I am a Mormon

This is an easy question, and a hard one. I wasn't always a member, if fact I wasn't a member for very long with any of the churches I attended in my childhood. there just seemed always to be something missing, something they couldn't answer. I could blame it on my sister, after all she invited me and my wife to visit her for a while, and one evening she had some young men over for dinner. turned out those young men were missionaries, and when they talked to us about the church, what we believed in our hearts, we knew it was right. we finally had the answers to all the questions we ever had. we also felt the spirit very strongly, and we knew we were home.

How I live my faith

This is perhaps the easiest question of all to answer. I love my Heavenly Father with all my heart and soul, and his beloved son Jesus Christ. being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, My wife and I were sealed to all time and eternity, and after losing my beloved wife to cancer six years ago I knew it would take work on my part. and I promised her that I would do the things that Heavenly Father asked of me with no questions ever asked, that I would follow the prompting of the spirit so that I could once again be with her. each day I say my prayers and ask, how can I do some good this day. I attend church as much as I can, with my health failing, it limits me sometimes. I am also a ham radio operator, and this allows me to help others in times of trouble. I also do Family Search Indexing, this allows me to help others, and lets me feel as though I am still teaching, still helping, still there when needed.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

John Albert
We come to know our Heavenly Father by reading the scriptures, by living our lives in accordence with the teachings of Jesus Christ. and by praying, a simple act by wich we may talk to our Heavenly Father, and by wich through the spirit, he will make known the things that we should do while we are here on earth.
