Hi I'm Richard Baird

I love photography, longboard skateboarding, serving the lord and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in Cleveland Ohio. Back home I loved taking pictures, longboarding, hiking, and hanging out with friends. After this I plan to go to college and study web design and development. I believe in living every day to the fullest and having fun. I love my family, I love my friends, I love my Heavenly Father, and I love my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member, but that's not why I'm a mormon. I am a mormon because of the way that it has helped me live my life. As I have read the Book of Mormon, and applied it's teachings, I have truly found lasting peace and happiness. I have experienced answers to prayers that bring me an assurity that God is always there that he does live and he does love me. The knowledge of the gospel as restored to Joseph Smith through Jesus Christ has given me a way to pattern my life and to overcome even the most difficult trials I can face. I am a Mormon simply put because it is true.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith the best way I know to do anything. One day at a time. That's been a real struggle for me, the old addage the only way to eat a hippo is one bite at a time has really rung true in my life. I often get caught up in everything I want to do, everything I feel I can do or should do or need to do, that I overwhelm myself. The gospel teaches me that through 4 steps repeated daily, Faith, Repentance, renewing baptismal promises, and enduring to the end I can have peace in this life and eternal joy in the life to come. It's easy to get caught up in everything I want to do, but the gospel teaches me what I need to do and how to do it, one day at a time.

In whom should we have faith?

Richard Baird
The only two people we should put our trust in is God the Father and Jesus Christ. They are the ones who can never fail. Through them we can have eternal life. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Richard Baird
Family is central to God's plan and the central and most important unit in society. Families are where we best learn gospel truths, where we can find love, support, peace, joy, and security. Families are sacred and should be treated as such. Through family prayer, and scripture study, and activities like family home evening we can become close to one another and progress together to heaven, because we know that families truly are forever.
