Hi I'm Veronica

I'm a living history "time traveler", and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a Mom and a Wife. I run a small farm in Georgia, USA, and love history. I'm a "living historian" and enjoy showing people how our ancestors lived in the 18th and 19th centuries. My husband and I are building our own home. I love to read and dance.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a convert to the Church. The Gospel didn't find me until I was 22, married, and with 2 children. But when I first heard the story of Joseph Smith's vision, somehow I knew it was true, and that I wanted to be a part of this church. My life has not been an easy one. We have 5 daughters, 2 of them have gone home to join their Father in Heaven as babies. Our family has struggled with unemployment, financial difficulties, family troubles.... But throughout it all, I have seen Heavenly Father's hand in everything. Sometimes it was hard to see the silver lining, but in the end, we have been so blessed! I have seen miracle upon miracle because of the Gospel in our lives. The things I've learned in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have helped me and guided me through everything and have helped me become a better person than I could have ever expected to be otherwise! I KNOW that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that he loves me, as does Our Father in Heaven. I have read the words of prophets and apostles in the latter-days, and I know they're true. I'm an ornery sort of person, and if I don't feel that something is true, I won't stick with it. The Church of Jesus Christ is my home, and I am so grateful that I found my way here!

How I live my faith

My faith isn't just something I do on Sundays, its the way I try to live my life. Everything I do is influenced by how I believe the Savior wants me to be. I try to be as much like Him as I can, and when I fail, I'm grateful for Repentance! I have a strong testimony that we are ALL truthfully brothers and sisters with a common Father in heaven, and I try to serve my "family" as best I can. I have a lot of opportunities to serve in the Church. Right now I am blessed to be able to teach the women's class on Sundays. I pray each time I teach that the Holy Ghost will touch each sister's heart!
