Hi I'm Will

I grew up on the Oregon coast. I served a mission in Chile. I am a business professional and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up loving sports. Athletics shaped my life. Being part of the team meant everything. I learned a lot about working together and sacrifice the individual for the good of the team. The drive to excel lead me to business school and an MBA. I have a beautiful wife and 6 children. They are the best team I have ever participated in. My life centers around them.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I grew up in a family that is Mormon, you cannot live on the faith of your parents. You need to find out for yourself what is real. I like to think of testimony as a foundation. My foundation began to build when I was 8 years old. I prayed to know if I should be baptized. I felt the spirit tesify that I should and so I did. When I was 12, I had the priviledge to meet the prophet of the church at a temple dedication. I will never forget the spirit that overwhelmed us and testified that he was indeed a prophet of the Lord. Experiences in deciding to serve a mission and afterwards have continued that foundation. Service has provided the cement and I have felt this is where the Lord would have me be. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Team is important in my faith. I love serving on the Lord's team. I was recently released as Bishop of my ward. That meant I was the priesthood leader of our local congregation. What a wonderful experience working with my fellow members. As I serve along side of others I grow from their testimonies of the Savior Jesus Christ. I loved sitting in council meetings discussing ways we can help others. Serving others is how I live my faith.
