Hi I'm Vince

My family and I live in Wales. I'm a photographer and an educator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life! I am active in political things - having campaigned on behalf of Oxfam, the Green Party and on social equality issues. I work as both an educator (communicating the science behind climate change) and a photographer. I run half marathons with my wife, and look forward to when our daughter is old enough to join us.

Why I am a Mormon

Modern life seems full of moral ambiguities, where everything is doubtful, uncertain, or questionable. My faith gives me a centre point that is fixed and solid. To be more specific - I asked for answers, and received them.

How I live my faith

I enjoy the opportunities to serve others that my church life provides. I have come to realise that it is in these small acts that I discover who I really am. I have acted as a leader in the youth program, provide voluntary service in my congregation's leadership, as well as having served a mission for the church in Canada. I also volunteer in the community - at the moment I help run the town's park.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Vince
The Church encourages members to take an active role in civic society, it also speaks out on moral issues. However the Church never endorses a particular political party. Interestingly, whilst there are a large number of Republican supporters in the US Mid-West, there have been many Mormons who are prominent Democrats. Political diversity is even more apparent abroad, where members of the Church espouse many different political philosophies. Show more Show less
