Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in Melbourne, Australia. I'm a Mormon. I served a mission in Tokyo, Japan.

About Me

Well my name is Josh. I am from Melbourne, Australia. I am currently living in Melbourne, but i will soon be moving to Hawaii to attend university. I am going to university to study International Business. I served a mission in Tokyo, Japan and speak fluent Japanese as a result. I enjoy pretty much anything, but mostly music, movies and sports.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother is a Mormon. So I was born into a half Mormon household. I grew up going to church every Sunday, but because of my family situation that was about as serious as i got as a member of the church throughout my younger life. As i became a teenager, my two older brothers stopped going to church. However, some feeling inside of me, even though it was a faint one, kept me going to church. Then, at about age eighteen and a half, my Bishop asked me whether i wanted to go on a mission or not. It was that same faint feeling i had had telling me to stay in church, that also led me to go on my mission. That is where my true conversion story lies. I offered two years of my life to serving my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Also i was serving the people of Tokyo, Japan. It was in the service of others, where i discovered who i was, and who i could be. It was in the service of my God, when i had His blessings poured out upon me. It was through many experiences and trial, that i came to know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. To know not only they exist, but who they are.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I also attend many different activities for young adults including dances and conferences. On Sundays, i give service as a teacher at church. i teach the young men aged between twelve and eighteen. Also, during the week, i teach a Gospel class to the youth aged between fourteen and eighteen at 645 in the morning before they go to school.

What is faith?

Josh
Faith is believing something you can't see, but know is true. It is not a placid thing either. It generally is a feeling that starts out very small. It begins with a trust in God, and acting upon that trust. As you continue to act upon faith by keeping the commandments and following His Prophet's counsel, and see the results of those actions, your faith will grow stronger. Show more Show less
