Hi I'm Matthew

I ski, write, draw, play cello. I'm a husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name's Matthew. I enjoy life a lot. I just recently got married to the most amazing girl, which has made it even better. I love the outdoors- specifically hiking, boating, skiing, golfing, and all team sports. I love reading, painting, writing, and playing the cello. I am currently studying English for my undergraduate. I have studied at BYU and Cambridge University.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because this church contains the knowledge and instruction that God wants us to know and use while here on earth. It's plain and easy to understand and feel. It has guided my life to be spent in the most rich and fulfilling experiences.

How I live my faith

I try not to stop living it at any point. The principles taught in the church are principles that help me with anything that I do. They help me make the best out of each day. I live my faith by always trying to follow the example that Christ left in his life.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Matthew
No. We only worship God. Joseph Smith was a prophet. He was a man like Elijah or Moses that God used to lead His work on the earth. We express gratitude towards Joseph Smith's faith and dedication to God. Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Matthew
They are used for the most sacred of ordinances that allow us to make more covenants with our Father in Heaven. They are dedicated beautiful structures where we do receive blessings for ourselves and, just as important, proxy for our ancestors who have passed away that all people might have the blessings of Christ's atonement.
