Hi I'm Sherry

I'm a wife and mother. I enjoy the outdoors and traveling and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a new mom. I enjoying staying at home with my baby boy. I have an undergraduate degree in Recreation Therapy and a masters degree in Social Work. I try to use my education to help those around me. I enjoy traveling, skiing, spending time with family and friends, and I love spending time in the outdoors. Currently I am pushing myself to get in shape and ready to run a 170 mile relay with 10 members of my family next summer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the way I feel when I study the doctrine and apply it in my life. As I study and live the teachings of the church I feel a sweet assurance, a peace, that I believe to be the Holy Ghost testifying of the truth. I am a Mormon because I believe that The Church of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth with pure doctrine and real authority (Priesthood) and this is what He would have me do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by showing love to my Father and by loving my neighbors. I show love to my Father in Heaven by studying his word in the scriptures and striving to obey his commandments. I work to have a personal relationship with my Father in Heaven by engaging in daily personal prayer as well as family prayer. I also show him love by working to improve myself, trying to be humble and repent when I make mistakes. I attend church to learn more of Him and his love and to partake of the sacrament to renew my baptismal covenants which are to always remember Him and to take His name upon me. I try to live my faith so that I am also showing love to my neighbors. I believe in always being willing to offer help when it is needed. For this reason I choose to study social work so that I could reach out to some who are in need of help. I also volunteer in my church by teaching teenage girls on Sundays and helping out with their weekly activities.
