About Me

I'm a 21 year old college student. I love football and really would have liked to play in college, but I fell in love and decided that I would rather get married and spend time with my wife. I'm now getting a degree in business and will be trying to get into medical school in a few years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a "Mormon" (a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) because I have read the Book of Mormon and followed the admonition of the prophet Moroni in Moroni 10:3-5, which is to ask God with a sincere heart, with real intent having faith in Christ if it is true, and he answered my prayers by the power of the Holy Ghost that it is indeed true. If the Book of Mormon is true, which it is, that means that it was translated by the prophet Joseph Smith by the power of God, and that means that all of the rest of the doctrines and teachings of the church are also true. If anyone wants to know for themselves, all they have to do is ask.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my very best to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ and his prophets, both ancient and modern. I'm not perfect, but when I do something wrong, I repent and do my very best not to do it again.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

When we die, we are taken home to the "God that gave [us] life" (Book of Mormon, Alma 40:11). Before we taken to meet God face to face at the day of judgement, we will dwell in a place called the Spirit World. The Spirit World is a place where the spirits of those who lived righteously in this life will dwell in a paradise where they will find rest and live in happiness and peace, while those who lived unrighteously will not be able to find the same peace and rest. There, in that prison of sorts, the spirits of those who didn't have a chance to learn about the fullness of the gospel while in this life will be able to learn about the it (see 1 Peter 3:18-20), accept or reject it, and be baptized (1 Corinthians 15:29). Then, when Christ comes again, the spirits of the righteous will come forth with him the the first resurrection where their spirits will be reunited with their physical perfected bodies. Everyone will eventually be able to be resurrected before we meet God the father and Jesus Christ in judgement. They will judge us according to our works here in this life, and we will be assigned to live in one of three kingdoms of glory; the Telestial Kingdom, the Terrestrial Kingdom, and the Celestial Kingdom (1 Corinthians 15:40, 2 Corinthians 12:2) Show more Show less
