Hi I'm Steven Patrick

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm so happy to be a husband and a father of a growing family. I'm an advertising professional and a lifelong resident of Michigan. My interests include music (listening to, writing, recording, playing live - especially drums!), boating, making movies, and most definitely spending time with my family. I strive daily to be better than I was the day before, and to live up to my full potential, letting nothing hold me back.

Why I am a Mormon

I know this Church is true. It is literally the Church of Jesus Christ, restored in these, the Latter-Days. I wasn't always a member of the Church - I grew up in another faith and attended each Sunday service of that faith. However, when I discovered that there was a Church that claimed to be led by a true prophet of God, with Jesus Christ himself leading the Church by revelation to that prophet and other men called of God, I had to investigate. My search led to a comforting witness of the Holy Ghost that this Church is exactly what it claims to be. I love to share with others these experiences and what I have learned since, because this Church means everything to me - it's not just a Church, it is God's Kingdom here on Earth, and his way of helping me, His child, to learn, grow, and return to live with him.

How I live my faith

My faith is not just something I think about on Sunday, it is a daily effort and something that is such a part of me, I could not separate myself from it. I love going to Church, I rejoice in serving others (which I should do more of), and I enjoy spending time studying the scriptures and feeling the comfort I receive from. Of course, prayer is something I try to do "always," because I need God's help wherever I go, not just first thing in the morning or at night. My service in the Church includes bi-weekly serving in the Michigan Detroit Temple, occasional service projects, and teaching a wonderful class of 13-14 year-olds during Sunday School.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Steven Patrick
No we do not. We do, however, revere him as a man that was called of God to restore the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that was, for a long time, gone off the face of the earth due to a great Apostasy. I personally am grateful for his many sacrifices that he made to advance the Kingdom, and the example and teachings he has left for today's' members of the Church. Show more Show less
