Hi I'm Brian

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a technology lover and love trying to see what I can do with technology. I enjoy programming, using new technology, reading, running, and playing with my children. I love my wife and can't imagine life without her, and truly can't imagine what I would be without her. As a hobby, I enjoy working with start-ups and trying out new small companies. i have started many of my own, and have actually published a book on how to form a corporation. This may sound like a strange hobby, but it has been a lot of fun for me and I have learned a lot through the process.

Why I am a Mormon

Because my parents were Mormon. Why I am still a Mormon? Because one summer while working at an internship at a Nuclear Power Plant and living with my grandparents, I knew no one in the city and I had nothing to do, and so I decided that I should find out for myself what this religion stuff my parents spoke of was all about. I read, I studied, and I prayed to a Heavenly Father that I wasn't sure was there. As I prayed, and I sought for an answer, I received one. I am a Mormon, because I know that there is a Father in Heaven who loves me and wants me to be happy in this life. I know that He wants me to return to him. I know that He instructs me and helps me in this life. I no longer seek after Him because of my parents, but because of the feelings that come as I seek after Him and follow Him. Now I have he challenge to help my own children find out for themselves so that they can experience the same things that I have, and find that same peace in this life. I know that I cannot do it alone, but with the help of Jesus Christ, it will be possible.

How I live my faith

One day at a time. Each day brings new challenges, but each day also brings new blessings and understanding. I just finished serving as a clerk/secretary for my local church's leader for the past 11+ years. "Finished" because my family is in the process of moving. It has been a wonderful opportunity to serve with great leaders and to learn from them. I have seen firsthand how they serve selflessly and love those whom they serve. It amazes me each week how so many volunteer their time to help others learn more about Christ and to come unto Christ.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Each time we had a new birth in our family, I look at the child and am amazed at the beauty. I love and embrace science and the understanding that it offers us, but the site of a new baby gives me the feeling that there is no way that would be possible without a God who is all knowing and all powerful. A God who has experienced that joy through his own creation, and He wants each of us to experience that same joy ourselves. Show more Show less
