Hi I'm Adam

I'm a husband of a supportive wife, father of three beautiful children, I'm an accountant and a cyclist I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met my wife in a guitar class at school and we have enjoyed the adventure of living our lives together in Utah, California and Texas and raising our young family. I am an accountant by day (and sometimes by night). I enjoy spending time with my family, cycling, running, reading, eating good food and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and learning about their cultures. I'm inspired by the goodness in other people and in the world around me.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the church. When they moved to our small town before I was born there was not even a congregation of the LDS church. They along with other families in the area were organized into a small congregation which met in a small metal building that was warm in the summer and heated by a wood burning stove in the winter. My parents have been faithful to the gospel during their entire lives and have been an example to me in their testimonies of Jesus Christ. I think back at the many experiences in my life when they were trying to help me to develop my own belief in Christ and his church. As I look back now, it has been a number of small and simple things which have built my testimony. My wife and I are raising our family in the church because we know it is true and know that our greatest joy in life comes as we try to follow the Savior and help others along the way. We want our children to experience the same joy in their lives and have a relationship with their Heavenly Father that will sustain them even after they are away from our constant care. Life has its distractions and its ups and downs but the constancy in my life has been the gospel and I want to continue to grow my testimony and have my family do the same.

How I live my faith

I enjoy learning more about the gospel as I interact with other people. It strengthens my belief in Jesus Christ and his church as I watch people trying to live their lives as He would live. I have recently been involved in the youth program of the church and enjoyed getting to know the youth and watching them navigate this influential time of their lives. I believe the youth of today are more prepared than the generation that came before them and will influence the world for good as they try to stay faithful to those things their parents and their leaders have taught them. My new responsibility in the church is to work with the men in our congregation to develop relationships with other members and become better husbands and fathers. It is interesting to me that we are given responsibilities that are above our current abilities with the hope that we will be able to touch others lives as we try to grow ourselves. My experience in the gospel is that the more we are able to focus on others and give of ourselves, the better people we become.
