Hi I'm Sandra M.

I'm a Mormon, a convert of over 35 years and love it!

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in World Wide Support Services ~ Family History/New Family Search and believe very strongly in regular temple attendance.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church is true and the Gospel has been restored to the earth in this the last dispensation of times. I know that a young boy in the early 19th century walked into the woods near his home in New York with a question and walked out of those same woods with an answer that would change the world forever. He not only had the courage to acknowledge but decided to share it with the world. Our Heavenly Father loves & knows each of us by name, wants us to talk with Him daily and return to Him to live forever in exaltatiion if we but follow the example of the Savior. I know that if you have a sincere desire to know the truth of ALL things, the Lord will make it known to you. Only through living the Gospel can we find true happiness and peace that will champion us through this early journey.

How I live my faith

The best way to live the LDS faith is to follow the commandments of the Savior, read your scriptures daily and have daily personal prayer and always in all situations ask yourself, "What would the Savior do?" and follow His example.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Sandra M.
No, we do not worship Joseph Smith but hold him in very high regard as being the first prophet in this, the last dispensation of times. We belive that our Heavenly Father and His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith in what is known as "the First Vision" confirming that they have glorified, perfect bodies and can speak, even as we speak. Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Sandra M.
We practice baptisms for the dead because it is only logical. Does it seem fair that our Heavenly Father would condemn those who lived and died on the earth but never had the opportunity, if they had heard it, to accept the Gospel in their lives? Our Father in heaven wants all of His children to be exalted and return to Him to live eternally. In order to do this, one has to be baptized into the kingdom of God by someone holding the proper priesthood authority. Show more Show less
