Hi I'm Heather

I am a wife, mother of four, and I am a mormon!

About Me

Hello I am a mother of four teenagers! It is a lot of fun to be involved with thier activities. Our family loves to go to sporting events together. My boys love to play baseball and the girls have been dancers. I also enjoy listening to them play the piano and I have one violinist. I am a former elementry teacher but I had a hard time leaving the kids with a babysitter so I enjoyed being a stay at home mom while the kids were growing up. For the past six years I have been lucky enough to have a fun career as a Real Estate Agent.

Why I am a Mormon

I am the luckiest person to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was born into a family of mormons so I was baptized at the age of eight years old. I have always known that this is the true church but I didn't truely understand the joy that it was bringing into my life until I was a Senior in High School. This was when I realized that I wanted to be the best person I could be. I knew that in order to be that best person I could be I would need to follow the teachings of the gospel. I knew I needed to be involved with everything that the church had to offer me, and give my talents in blessing others with the knowledge of our Savior. I can't imagine my life if I would have chosen any differently. The joy of being involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints in undiscribable. It gives us purpose on Earth and a Knowlegde that I will live with my Savior again and I will also be with my family who I love so much for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living my life. Everything I do revolves around my faith in our Savior. I am involved with the young women in my area. I get to be around girls ages 12-18 every week. We get together on Sundays and have spiritual lessons that help them recognize thier purpose on earth and teach them that they are daughters of a Heavenly Father who loves them and they really love him. We share our feelings with each other about the Savior and encourage each other to keep the commandments of God so that we may fufill our divine purpose on earth. Every Wednesday evening we also get together for an hour or so to do an activity together. We learn a new skills, do service projects and just have fun together. We just returned from a trip to Lake Powell together. We were able to visit Hole in the Rock while we were there. We were able to climb to the top of hole in the rock and also learn about our ancestors who came down hole in the rock in their wagons. We are looking forward to going to girls camp together really soon. We will spend 4 days together camping in the mountians.

What is the difference between attending a Mormon Church and a Mormon Temple?

Heather
A Mormon Church is a place where we as members of the church and nonmembers can meet each week on Sundays to worship our Heavenly Father. We attend Sacrament meeting and partake of the sacrament to renew our baptismal covenants. Going to church is FUN! We get to see our ward family and learn the gospel together. The temple is a beautiful building where members of the church who have been worthy and have a special reccommend may attend. This is a sacred building and we get to be sealed in marriage for time and all eternity here. We believe that families are forever. Other sacred ordinances are also performed here that we need to gain eternal life and live with our Father in Heaven again. The temple is a place that we all strive to be worthy to attend. It is a sacred place where peace is felt. Show more Show less
