Hi I'm David E.

My Family and I are Mormons!

About Me

I grew up in the Church. I served a Two Year Mormon Mission in Honolulu, Hawaii from 1992-1994. I was Sealed to my Wife for Time and All Eternity in The Holy Temple in Oakland, CA in 1995.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know that this is what the Lord would have me be and that it is the Only True and Living Church on the face of this whole Earth! I have recieved many blessings in my life for the decision I made at an early age to remain in the church and continue on in my spirtual progress in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Try to treat others as I would want to be treated.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

David E.
Our Heavenly Father is a Just and Fair Father. He would not punish some of his children if they had forgotten about him and had strayed away from his principles. The Lord has taught us that all Mankind will recieve the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They will all have the chance to accept the Gospel or reject the Gospel. For Fathers Children that do not hear the Gospel while on the Earth, they will be able to hear after their Spirits have left this Earth and they are awaiting their judgement. Messengers will teach them the Gospel of Jesus Christ while they are waiting. If those that are being taught accept the Gospel and want to join Heavenly Father's presence, the first ordinance needed is to be Baptised. His children who have left the Earth and have accepted the Gospel need to be baptised in order to enter his Kingdom. The Lord has instituted Baptims for the Dead. A living worthy member of the church will enter His Holy Temple and be Baptised in Proxy for one of our Heavenly Father's Children that has accepted the Gospel while waiting for there judgement on the other side. This makes our Heavenly Father a Just and Righteous God who loves all of His Children very much. He wants to give them every oppurtunity to make it home to Him again. Show more Show less
