Hi I'm Wolfgang

I am working on my Ed.D. I have three kids. Married to an awesome wife. Practice Real Estate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have three children, two girls and one boy. We were blessed to be given a son with Downs Syndrome and are loving every day with this precious guy. I am currently studying in an effort to earn my Ed.D in Organizational Leadership with aspirations of opening up my own school. I enjoy spending time with my family, helping my neighbors, and exploring new technologies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I decided to ask God. My knowledge of many temporal things I think is pretty good, but compared to God's knowledge, it is very limited. I decided to ask. I received an answer that I can not deny. The comforting feeling that I received let me know that this church was true. As I read the Bible and The Book of Mormon, I have learned more and had that initial answer grow to a much deeper understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I asked and a loving Heavenly Father answered.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing all that I can. Jesus Christ taught His followers by His actions. I feel that if I am to say that I follow jesus christ, I too need to make my actions match my words. My goal is to help my children learn and know Jesus Christ. I feel that the best way that I can teach them is by what I do every day. What I do is much louder than what I say. I want my children to see me live the teachings of Jesus christ, not just hear me talk about them. I want my neighbors to recognize that I do my best by how I act, not just what I say. Our faith is not just on Sundays, it is every minute of every day. Is it easy? No! Am I perfect? No! but the joy is knowing that I can become better and the teachings of Jesus Christ have taught me that I overcome my shortcomings.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

I think that people confuse worship for respect. We respect Joseph Smith for what he did and his calling. Do we pray to Joseph Smith? No. Do we place him on the same level as God? No. Do we acknowledge that he was chosen by God to restore true principles? YES!! Do we respect the calling that he received from God? Yes!! Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

There is nothing secret, just sacred. The temples are the house of God and as such are holy buildings. Just like you would ask you children to clean up after playing in the mud before they come into your home, our Heavenly Father has asked us to be clean before we enter His house. It is not a physical cleanliness, but a spiritual cleanliness. Those who have prepared themselves to enter into Gods house may enter. In the temple we learn eternal truths, receive sacred ordinances including those that allow a man and women to be husband and wife for eternity. We also perform these same ordinances in proxy for our kindred dead Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

On my mission we would use the analogy of the ice cream man and the DMV. If the ice cream man gave you a drivers license to drive a car and you got pulled over by a cop, what would the cop say about your license? He would say that it was not issued by someone with authority to give drivers licenses. If the DMV, in California, gave you a drivers licenses, you now have a card given by one with authority to issue drivers licenses. You licenses would be valid. If baptism is not done by the proper authority, it is not valid. If baptism is an ordinance that Jesus Christ commanded us to do, then He is the one that gives the authority. The Priesthood is this authority and it was restored by those who had the Priesthood authority. It is not something you go to school to receive. It is not something that you pay a membership for. It is given by heaven to man to allow man o perform ordinances with authority. Show more Show less
