Hi I'm Joseph

I love spending time with my family, going on vacations and helping others, and I'm a mormon

About Me

My interests/hobbies include hiking, camping, singing, spending time with family, serving in my church and giving my all to work and church. My strengths are teaching, training, and empathizing with others as they go through their own life experiences and challenges with life. I love to work out to stay healthy and strong for my family and the Lord to serve him. I currently run almost every morning and it enriches my life in every way. I have a son and a daughter and a wondefull wife. They bring great joy into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I have come to know that this is the Lords church restored to the earth. It holds the same keys and authority as it did when Christ and his apostles were here on earth. My testimony started to blossom when I read the Book of Mormon for the first time. I came to know then and continue to know now that there is a power in the Book like no other book I have ever read. I know that if anyone with an open mind with faith in Christ having real intent seeks to know the truth of the Book of Morning, they will feel and find it--most importantly, their life will be changed if they continue to read and live its teachings; they are the words of Christ. Because this book is true, Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and all authority that was restored to him is real and has been passed down to all prophets after him. Our prophet President Monson is the Lords prophet today and we have apostles who hold the same keys and authority as did the apostles of old like peter, james and john. I invite all to listen to him and to feel the Lords love and direction for you as you listen to him and enjoy the peace this Gosple brings. The Lord lives, he loves us, and invites all to come unto him. He stands at the door and knocks, all who let him, will enjoy his comfort and love he desires all to have.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church in many ways. In my ward or congregation, I do the best I can with the Lords help to meet the needs of those I have been given responsibility and to look out for. As members of this church, each of us can be assigned at least one family to look after, pray for, and help. This has been a great blessing to their life and my life as well. I have found that there is no greater joy that can be had in this life then when we are serving our families and those outside our family. As I serve, I have more peace and happiness in all aspects of my life. I also have been given the responsibility to assist the full-time missionaries in helping families share this wonderful Gosple to their friends. I love to share my testimony of the Savior with families and share with them the joy that comes from doing the work of the Lord. I have come to know that it is through small and simple ways that the Lord work is moved forward.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a member of the church of Jesus Christ restored to earth has been a blessing in my life. The main purpose for us here on this earth is to have joy and to learn what we need to learn, and do what we need to do to return to live with our Father in Heaven. The Savior paid the price for us to do this because he loves us, for we love him, because he first loved us. Through him we can repent and have the joy that comes from living a life that pleases the Savior Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

To increase faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is an on going process. There are several things we can do to increase our faith in Jesus Christ. One of the first things we can do is learn about his life, study his teachings, and then seek to live by those teachings. Like a sead that is planted and blossoms when watered, our faith will strengthen when our testimonies of this Gosple blossoms and takes root because of our sincere desire and efforts to walk in the path of the master and do what he would do. At some point in our lives if we come to know his words and walk in his path long enough, our natures will be changed. We begin to see things as he sees them, and do what he has asked us to do because we love him and those he has asked us to serve. In paraphrasing scripture in the bible, I love the scripture where we are taught that if "any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine." If we do the will of the master, we will come to know him and will be a light to others. As I heard someone once say, as we walk toward the light, we will be a light to others. The light is our Savior, and as we do his will whether in the good times or the challenging times, our character and faith will be fortified and we will be able to withstand all the trials and temptations that come our way, I know this to be true.
