Hi I'm Jonathan B.

I am an aspiring physical therapist, I love to snowboard and hike. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Washington State. I am right now in school, studying exercise science, and will then go on to Physical Therapy. I really like going snowboarding and hiking and long distance running. I really like to travel and get to know lots of people and places. My father is currently fighting cancer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church and a Mormon, because it brings me great joy! When I was about 16, I went running across town. As I ran, the ideas and thoughts and teachings of the church I learned as a child began to run through my mind. I began to wonder if those things were true. I wondered how I could know. My parents had their own view. And my friends, a different view. So as I ran past a small group of trees, I ran in to rest for a second and then knelt down and prayed. I asked the Lord if the Mormon church was true. When I finished my prayer, I felt happy, and at peace. It wasn't a big giant miracle, but I felt good. I got up and kept on running, and felt like I could run and run, because I was so happy that God had answered my prayer and I know that He will answer everybody's prayer. Just ask Him. He will answer.

How I live my faith

I love to participate in the community and help others! I am an eagle scout and was a part of Key club in high school. Right now I serve in the church training teachers on how to help members of the church learn and grow. I regularly volunteer in community service, especially helping special education children.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jonathan B.
We do believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe that He is the Savior of the World. He was sent by our loving Heavenly Father to come and teach us, give the perfect example of His life, to organize His church (Ephesians 2:20), and also to atone for our sins, or in other words, save us from our sins, sicknesses, and trials and help us live with God again. We believe that He does love us, and cares about us, and that is why He came to earth (John 3:16). I personally know this is true, because I have felt His love and forgiveness. I testify that Jesus Christ did come to this earth, that He is the Son of God, and that He did die for us, and three days later, He rose up again. Jesus Christ lives. Show more Show less
