Hi I'm Thomas

I grew up in Riverside, NV. Population 30. I am a physical therapist. I love sports, piano and juggling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Nevada, went to college in Utah, met my wife in Pennsylvania, went to grad school in Tennessee and now live in Kentucky. I love life, my wife and my three kids. I am in a physical therapist. I love the outdoors and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

My story is unusual. I grew up going to the Mormon church as a kid. Mostly because it was the only church in town and my parents thought it was important to have their children attend church. It was not until high school that I really began to question the things I had learned as kid. When I started asking the questions and investigating I began to receive answers and I know that I have made the right choice in joining the Savior's Church.

How I live my faith

Sundays are wonderfully busy for my wife and I. We love to serve, but more important than what I do on Sunday, is what I do personally to help live my faith. Prayer, scripture study and teaching my children on a daily basis is what helps me develop a closer relationship with my Heavenly Father.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Similar to the Bible, the Book of Mormon was written by men who God called as prophets. Their words were recorded and compiled into holy books of scriptures. The only difference is that one group of prophets lived in the Jerusalem and around the middle east while the other group of prophets lived in the Americas. Both groups of prophets were told the same thing about the same Jesus Christ who would come to save the world. I love how both books of scripture have personal visitations of the Savior. As I read the scriptures I receive answers to questions about life. I also feel peace and am grateful when I have questions of my soul answered. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The atonement of Jesus Christ makes returning to our Father in Heaven possible. Put simply, it includes his suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane, his crusifiction the next day on the cross and his resurrection 3 days later. To acutally have this atonement of the Savior take full effect in our lives we must do as he has asked: have faith in him, repent of our sins, be baptized and confirmed by one having authority, recieve th gift of the Holy Ghost, obey God's commandments, recieve sacred ordinances and strive our best to become like him. I know that by doing these simple things peace enters into life that cannot be found anywhere else. Show more Show less
