Hi I'm Jim Ericson

I love spending time with my family, sharing the stories of my ancestors, and eating cheeseburgers. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Utah with my loving wife and four wonderful children. I grew up in Salt Lake City but have also lived in various cities in Argentina and San Mateo, California. My interests include cultural awareness, family history research, basketball, gardening, and marketing. I work hard to balance the time I spend at work and providing service with the time I spend with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the church and was baptized when eight years old. I knew then the importance of the Gift of the Holy Ghost to help me get through life's challenges. Since then and even before then I have had spiritual experiences that have taught me about my reliance on my Savior and His pure and simple doctrines. These experiences, while often humbling, strengthen my personal testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel and the importance of taking part in the living body of Christ and doing what I can to build up His kingdom on earth.

How I live my faith

I always pray to increase my love towards others and try to understand people and their motivations. I read the scriptures to remind me of my Savior and to seek the influence of the Holy Ghost. Improving my relationships with others through love and service improves my relationship with Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jim Ericson
Mormons believe that Jesus Christ provides the only means of salvation and the key to receiving eternal life. We accept Christ as the literal Son of God and follow His teachings. We believe that we have an obligation to keep His commandments and foster a personal relationship with Him as we serve those around us. We believe that we are made perfect through the grace of Christ as we accept Him as our Savior. We have the opportunity to receive the gift of eternal life through His sacrifice and resurrection. We also have a role to play in the Great Plan of Happiness, which is to always follow Him, keep His commandments, and be a witness of Him through our daily living. Show more Show less
