Hi I'm Craig

I am a Husband, Father, Grandfather, a retail store manager and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a large family, with wonderful parents and siblings in Northern Utah. In my early years I enjoyed spending my summers on my Grandfather's ranch in Northern Wyoming. I served a mission for my Savior and Church in England. I received a bachelor's and master's degree and I am now a retail store manager. My greatest success in life has been to marry my sweet wife and be blessed with 7 wonderful children, four fabulous daughters-in-law, a wonderful son-in-law, two beautiful granddaughters and five handsome grandsons. I enjoy reading, growing a garden, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am proud of my pioneer heritage. My ancestors were from England and pulled handcarts across the plains to the Salt Lake Valley. I was blessed to be raised in a Church that taught me the doctrine of Christ. Our church had is origin with a young fourteen year old boy Joseph Smith that lived in 1820, In upper state New York. Joseph did not start out to create a church, all he wanted to know was which church he should join. He decided to pray for guidance. What followed was an amazing event and an answer to his prayer. God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ appeared to him. Joseph was told that he must join none of the churches. He learned that he would be instrumental in the restoration of Christ's Church in our day. This restored Church would be the same Church that Christ organized in his day, with apostles, prophets, and the authority to perform baptism. I know these things to be true because of the Book of Mormon, which Joseph Smith translated by the gift and power of God. This ancient record is a second witness of Jesus Christ, as recorded by prophets here in the Americas, that complements the Bible in teaching the Savior's Gospel. I know that if a person reads the Book of Mormon and prays, they can know of its truth, that Joseph Smith did restore Christ's Church today. We are blessed to have living prophets and apostles that guide our Church. The Church has helped me in every aspect of my life. I cannot imagine raising a family today without the Church,

How I live my faith

I try to put into practice the Savior's Teachings. There is no paid ministry in the Church so everyone serves in various Church callings. I have served as a Bishop or what would be the equivalent of a Pastor in my Church. I enjoy working with the children in primary, the youth in scouting, young women's and up through our senior members. At this time I work with our High Priests in our Congregation. I try to live my life so I can be an example of the Savior to others. Although I am not perfect, my Church helps me grow and become a better person for myself, my family, and for others. All the goodness in my life is because of my Faith in My Savior and his Church.
