Hi I'm Beth

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man and have two wonderful children. I love to read all sorts of books. I also enjoy cooking, even though my family might not always enjoy it! I am a stay at home mom and love it most of the time. Motherhood to me is the most wonderfully hard job I could ask for. I am so blessed to be home with my kids and I learn a lot from them. After living in an urban city I am happy to be living out in the suburbs. Being outdoors is one of my favorite things to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born in a family who lived the gospel fully. When I was young my father passed away and having the knowledge that families can be together through the gospel of Jesus Christ helped me deal with the rough times. Through hard and easy times the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me peace and comfort. I am a Mormon because I know the truth of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I am a better, happier person while I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

The teachings of Jesus Christ are central to my life as a mother, wife and friend to others. I try to teach my children to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ everyday. We strive to serve those around us in any way we can.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Beth
Faith must be cultivated in order to grow. Faith does not just come by accident. Faith can be increased by seeking out knowledge. Faith will grow by hearing testimonies of others who have faith. I gain faith through prayer, study and time. I pray to better understand those things I am asked to do. I study the scriptures and gospel teachings, and then I take the time I need to have my faith grow. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Beth
Service and self improvement are greatly emphasized in our church. What better way to serve and lead than to be called to be into leadership positions? Also, having members be in leadership positions allows them to be more in tune with the needs of those they serve since they are their neighbors and friends. Show more Show less
