Hi I'm Robert

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints for 35 years now, im a father of two sons and my wife and i live in Alabama now. I served in the military in Alaska and then lived there for 15 years. After moving from Alaska to Alabama i was experiencing health problems and retired from a normal working job. I enjoy wood working, reading, and studying the gospel. I'm also enjoying becoming a grand parent and seeing my children grow and have there own families.

Why I am a Mormon

When i joined the church at the age of 17, i was in a time in my life when friends were important and i had had no religion in my life up to this point, i had friends who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints who showed they cared about me and the teachings of the gospel followed there friendship, i learned through the experience that the prophet Joseph Smith had, that the gospel needed to be restored and that we needed a prophet on the earth again, through the visits of angles, the priesthood of God was restored and my faith and testimony in that experience and through the power of the holy ghost i have learned that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ and i know that i am a son of God , i know we have a prophet on the earth today who knows Gods will for every person on the earth and if i stay true to the promises and covenants Ive made then my family can be together forever and i will live in the presence of my Father in Heaven and the Savior.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ every day is what the Savior expects of me, he gave the perfect example by how he treated others, and how i treat others and what i do to help others is very important to me and by doing that shows my Father in Heaven and the Savior that i have faith in them and i want to help all of there children, i love to visit others in their homes and doing what i can to help them , either in physical needs or in spiritual needs, loving one another is how i want to share my faith and if i can help someone get through a trying time in there life, then i have done what my Father in Heaven and the savior expect of me.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Robert
temples are truly the house of God on earth and therefore those who enter must live all of the commandments that God has revealed, even though there are over 13 million members of the church, not all of them live all of the commandments and because we are entering the house of the Lord , those who enter must be living all of the revealed commandments, the things we learn in the temple are sacred, they are not secret. they teach us the importance of family and how we can live with our Father in Heaven and the Savior for all eternity.
