Hi I'm Nicklaus

About Me

I am one lucky husband of the most kind and beautiful wife around and proud father of two boys, with a little girl on the way this summer. Some of my hobbies include hanging out with my family, jogging, reading, and enjoying all sports. I'm currently serving our great nation in the United States Air Force and love defending the freedoms each of us enjoy in this country.

Why I am a Mormon

I think the biggest reason why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is because this Gospel has taught me who I am, where I came from and where I am going. Having a sense of purpose in this difficult life enables me to tackle the challenges of today, while having faith in the future and allows me, if I do what is right, the opportunity to live with my family for eternity. Knowing that death will only temporarily separate me from my loved ones is huge blessing and lets me know that my Heavenly Father loves and cares about who I am and what I am doing. By being a member of His church, I have been blessed to fully accept and utilize Christ's Atonement in my life. I've felt His arms around me when I've failed and I've felt His love for me when I repent and align my will with His and the Father's.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving the Lord by assisting our local Bishop fulfill the mission of the church; bringing people to Christ. My calling enables me to see the power of the Priesthood in action. I also get to see the bishopric (the bishop, with his two counselors) care for, serve, and look after members of our ward. I love sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with co-workers and enjoy explaining to others why I believe what I believe and how it makes me happy.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Nicklaus
The Mormon prophet today is President Thomas S. Monson. (President is the title given to the current prophet, for he leads, guides, and directs the actions of the church, while acting as God's mouthpiece here on earth.) Following his prophetic guidance has blessed my life, as well as the lives of my family members. We feel blessed to know that God speaks to prophets in these latter days, helping us along the way back to His presence. Show more Show less
