Hi I'm Rob Sabey

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a beautiful woman and have 4 daughters and a son. I grew up in Canada in a Mormon community but immigrated to the United States after I completed college. I served a 2-year mission in San Jose, California. I've also lived in Scotland, Hawaii, South Carolina, and California, but now call Utah "home". I love living in Utah! I love movies, sailing, and family vacations.

Why I am a Mormon

In my extended family were family members who were active Latter-day Saints mormons, family members who belonged to another faith, and family members who were baptized mormon, but who were not practicing. Because of this, I had the opportunity to decide for myself which path I would follow. While I tended to be active as a Latter-day Saint -- I felt a lot of love, support, and acceptance from Church members -- as I grew into my later teens, I had doubts about my faith in the Church. Because of the example of good friends, I decided to read the Book of Mormon and ask the Lord if it was true. After many weeks of reading, and many prayers, my prayers were answered in a very tangible and significant way -- I gained my own testimony that my Father in Heaven lives and loves me, that the Book of Mormon was true, and that Joseph Smith was a modern Prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I just try to be kind and to help other people whenever I can. I try to read the scriptures every day and to pray to my Heavenly Father for help in doing what he would want me to do.
