Hi I'm Dede

I'm a simple, ordinary person; I'm a wife; I'm a mother; I'm a daughter of God; I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a simple, ordinary person. Some would say there is nothing too special about me, but I am special because I am a daughter of God. I'm a wife, a mother, and I'm a Mormon. I was born into an amazing family. My parents are simply phenomenal people and I have 7 siblings who I love so much. I was raised in beautiful Montana by a loving family, filled with lots of craziness and fun. I met my wonderful husband in 2003 and we've now been married many fun-filled years. We have 6 children and most of my days are spent changing diapers, feeding my family, cleaning the house, washing and folding laundry, helping children with homework, reading countless books to my little ones, playing dolls or cars, and counting to 10 in my head numerous times a day to keep calm. When people see me in public I probably have snot on my shoulder and something sticky smeared on my pant leg in the shape of a little hand. My life is not glamorous but it is beautiful. I am helping my tiny, little section of the world grow and become. I occasionally make wedding cakes and enjoy hiking, biking, family time, girls nights out, crafting, and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me great joy and happiness. I feel the love of my Savior and Father in Heaven everyday in my life. I was once asked why my family was so happy. I gave the person a Book of Mormon and told him that if he read this book and truly wanted to know if it was true he could also have the happiness I had. After being baptized and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, the constant companionship of The Spirit brings so much comfort and joy to my life. One of my favorite books as a child was called "The Little Brute Family". In the book the family is sad and grumpy, they have no happiness. One day the baby brute finds a little good feeling he puts in his pocket and brings home. The little good feeling affects everyone and makes everyone happy. The family then enjoys great happiness and joy. The constant companionship of the Holy Ghost is like being able to have a little good feeling in your pocket making you happy. The only way to get this constant companionship is to be baptized and confirmed by proper priesthood power and authority. This priesthood is restored in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I can't imagine not having that good feeling with me constantly. I want to share that happiness with the entire world! The world is so sad and there is so much unhappiness. It gives no comfort but the true gospel of Jesus Christ gives joy, comfort, and light in a world filled with so much darkness. I love the gospel, I know it is true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I teach my children the love I have for the Savior. We pray together and study the scriptures together everyday. We serve those around us and love to help those in need. We attend our church meetings every Sunday. Personally, I study the scriptures and pray daily, it brings so much light into my world and as I study and pray the Spirit inspires and guides me.
