Hi I'm Randy

I work in financial services. I love my family, reading & trying new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to work, exercise, and spend time with family. I love to read about economics, history and investing. I work for a Fortune 100 company in strategy / business development. I'm married, with 6 children. I graduated from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the entire religion is centered around Jesus Christ. There is a great consistency of doctrine in the church - every Sunday, no matter where you are in the world, you will get the same lessons & ordinances. The Bible speaks of Christ, the Book of Mormon speaks of Christ, the prophets speak of Christ. The Mormon church has restored ordinances / commandments we read about in the Bible, for example, temple worship, baptism, priesthood, sacrifice, tithing, sabbath observance, etc....These commandments are consistently expected and applied in the Mormon church. I want my religion to have the same expectations Christ would have - and the Mormon church is the only church I've found that requires the same sacrifice that Christ expected of his followers. I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church restored to the earth.

How I live my faith

I follow the example of the Savior and reach out to anyone who is in need. I make an effort to attend every baptism of new members of our congregation. I read the scriptures and especially love reading about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

We recently had a friend of ours in our home to hear the first and second lesson from the missionaries. In the first lesson, the missionaries will teach about the history of the Church of Jesus Christ, from the time of Christ, to the present. They also will answer any questions that you may have, related to the Mormon church or otherwise. For example, our friend talked about her own spiritual journey and the thoughts and feelings she had experienced over a lifetime. That's pretty typical based on my experience, but I have found them very flexible and adaptable to the needs of the people they are teaching. Our family loves to have the missionaries in our home, they help us feel closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
