Hi I'm Amber

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife, mother of four and an attorney on hiatus for motherhood. I love to travel and have lived abroad in Germany and Romania. In my spare moments, I enjoy heirloom sewing for my children, singing, and dancing. Things that make me smile include a great vintage dress, stargazer lilies, and my little pink house.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I believe. I was raised in the church and took the opportunity while young to read and study the gospel, including the Book of Mormon. It was during the time that I first read the Book of Mormon on my own that my belief in the gospel was confirmed. Through personal prayer and scripture study, I developed a close friendship with my Heavenly Father and Savior. I felt their love for me and continue to feel it as I try to live their teachings.

How I live my faith

My faith gives me a foundation of values and beliefs that influence my daily decisions and actions. I teach a children's Sunday School class, as well as play the piano for the kids' singing time at church. Working with the children is so enriching. I learn so much from their perspectives and insights on life. I also sing in the choir whenever possible--singing is such a joy!

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Amber
A testimony is one's personal witness from the Holy Ghost that the gospel and its principles are true. The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead whose mission includes revealing truth to those who seek it. He does this by filling your heart with warmth and peace as you sincerely study and pray about the gospel. It is a feeling unique and discernible. A basic gospel testimony might start with confirmation that Jesus is the Christ. As you continue to pray and study the gospel, you will build upon that foundation and receive witnesses as to the truth of additional gospel principles. Show more Show less
