Hi I'm Cary

I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised a Mormon. I am not only a Mormon, but I am the best kind. I am a Chocolatier Mormon!

About Me

I am married to a glorious wife and I have three monsters (children), two teenagers and one cub scout. They are my life and there is no value to my existence without them. I also stated that in my intro that I was the best Mormon, a Chocolatier Mormon. My passion is chocolate. It has always been a fascination of mine ever since I figured out all my mothers hiding places for it. I have always wanted to learn how to make confections just because I wanted them, but I soon found out why. Nothing will change the disposition of a person than will chocolate. I love making something extraordinaire and to see the reaction when people eat it. I don't like the praise, I just love the joy that emanates from their face when they taste it. That brings me happiness. In my book there is not many things quite so noble as sharing chocolate creations with others. This is because you are spreading happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon. I have never had a moment when I was not believing in the faith. I was raise by parents who were strong believers and I was one who followed the path my parents placed before me. I have always appreciated the strong foundation my parents, teachers, and leaders placed me on, for this enabled me to deal with enormous challenges life always seems to throw your way. The gospel of Jesus Christ always gives you perspective when life seems to try to pull the rug out from beneath your feet. Through the Holy Spirit, Christ will give you peace in troubled times. I rely on His influence from day to day, hour by hour and even minute by minute. Something I have discovered is that overcoming life's challenges have confirmed to me that the things I believe are true and give you security. If you take a string and compare your belief or your testimony of your beliefs to that string, it is one thing to tie a package with it, it is quite another to hang over the edge of a cliff by that very string. I have gone through several challenges like nearly everyone faces. I have also gone through several times of unemployment, underemployment, and financial devistations that were thrust upon me. Nothing like what came to me and my family when my wife was in a terrible car accident, which I witnessed in my rear view mirror two cars behind me followed by my wife having a stroke five months later all at the age of 38. Prayer, fasting and many priesthood blessings are what has gotten us through these challenges. I could see the hand of God throughout this process. Don't get me wrong. i do not believe that these are God-caused events, rather they are natural events that God takes advantage of to help us grow and to help us turn to Him. God is our Father in Heaven and He does have a Son, Jesus Christ, who is the Savior of the world. I know this by the manifestation of his Holy Spirit that burns out all doubt. I testify that They live.

How I live my faith

I live my faith not only by doing the basics of attending church meetings. I do all I can to fulfill the responsibilities the Lord gives me. First, I am a father in my home. I do all I can to meet the temporal needs of my family. I also try to raise my family in the gospel of Jesus Christ as well. We do this by setting aside Monday evenings for a family night to get together to discuss the gospel and to have fun as a family. I also try to take advantage of every opportunity to teach gospel principles to my children so they will know where to go when in need and who to look forward to for a remission of their sins. I also participate in leadership in the Boy Scouts of America. i absolutely love scouts and I feel there is no better program ever created to turn boys into responsible men that can make wise and ethical moral decisions. I believe it is truly divinely inspired. I am a home teacher and I have specific families that I look over to see that there temporal and spiritual needs are being met. Most of all, I try to always serve those around me. I absolutely love doing what I can to brighten others day. There is enough doom and gloom to go around and we all need a little hope. Many appreciate that since many times I do that with chocolate.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

It is not quite so bizarre as some may think. We work, raise our families, participate is the community and have fun. We live after the manner of happiness. We do try to always live the teachings of Jesus Christ and we abstain from behaviors that detract from having Christ's influence in our lives. We find that we are at peace in our lives when we are in service with those around us, including our families. Show more Show less

No, we believe that everyone are God's children and we do much to help all no matter who they are. God is no respecter of persons. Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Yes, the resurrected Lord visited the ancient people who lived on this continent. He taught them his gospel and set up his church just as he did in Jerusalem. He did this because they were his of the House of Israel as well. The people who lived here came out of Jerusalem around 600 BC and immigrated to the American Continent and established a nation.
