Hi I'm Alisha Danielle

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

About Me

I have many interests and hobbies, such as yoga, reading, traveling, music, triathlons, being with family and friends, laughing, dancing. Basically I like living my life to the fullest. Things that are good, and things that make me happy, those are the things that I am drawn to. I am interested in holistic nutrition, and want to help those who are searching for balance, be able to find greater strength, health, and stability through the foods they choose.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because I know that it is Jesus Christ's true Church established on the earth today. It is a pretty strong statement, I know. But this assurance came because I prayed and asked God, our Heavenly Father, if it really was Jesus Christ's Church. While reading the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ, I received the witness that it was true evidence, that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet, and restore missing truths to the earth, so that we could have the fulness of the Gospel. I am so grateful for my testimony, and that through the power of the Holy Ghost, each of us as children of God, can know the truth of all things.

How I live my faith

I was blessed to be able to serve a mission in the Texas McAllen Mission, which completely changed my life. I came to realize that true happiness comes from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is through continued learning and faith of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, repenting, baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. "...I would that ye should look to the great Mediator, and hearken unto his great commandments; and be faithful unto his words, and choose eternal life, according to the will of his Holy Spirit." The way is through Jesus Christ, and not choosing our way but His way.

In whom should we have faith?

Alisha Danielle
We are to have faith unto repentance solely in the Lord Jesus Christ who came to save all of mankind from both temporal and spiritual death. Because of His resurrection, we too, will be resurrected, and because of His suffering for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane, we can be free from sin by believing that this is true, and then by repenting for our sins and transgressions, being purified through Him (by baptism), receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and continue for the rest of our lives strengthening our relationship with Him, by doing what is right. What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Alisha Danielle
Baptism is performed exactly how Jesus Christ demonstrated for us to be baptized (see Matthew 3:13-17). There are three essential components to this act/ordinance. 1.) Baptism needs to be performed by being fully submerged into the water. 2.) It needs to be performed at an age where one is accountable for what they are doing. And 3.) It needs to be done by some who has the proper power and authority. Show more Show less
