Hi I'm Mickey

Graphic designer, Idahoan, Mormon, music lover, & fun haver

About Me

I'm a college student who studies and works in graphic design. I am responsible for the design of many of the new books that are published by professors at my school. Art and music are some of my favorite things, and I really like to play guitar. I also happen to love Spain, its language, and its people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the example and teaching from my parents and others led me to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it was true. It is true. No other book has taught me as much about Christ as the Book of Mormon. That foundation makes me want to live the teachings of the Church and has allowed me to prove their validity for myself. I choose to be a Mormon because I have had undeniable witnesses from the Holy Ghost that this is God's church. God doesn't want me to just live for myself; in the Church He uses my talents to build up other people, and I have definitely been blessed in return.

How I live my faith

Being a Latter-day Saint means contributing to the lives of others. I believe I am living my faith every time I help someone else, even if it's only something small. I believe God wants me to treat everyone in a kind and caring way, no matter how they treat me. One thing I do to help others is home teaching, which means I make visits to certain people to share gospel messages and that I'm always there if they need help with anything. Living my faith also means that I respect the commandments God gave us, from both ancient and modern prophets. These commandments have been essential guidelines for my progress and happiness, and have been an important part of coming to know the truth of the Gospel. An important part of my life was my two-year mission in Madrid, Spain. My full-time missionary service was not easy or glamorous, but it changed me and gave me the chance to see the gospel at work in the lives of people of Spain.
