Hi I'm David

About Me

Engineer, restorer of vintage cars, lover of the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the Church when I was born, and was raised going to church each week with my family. During my teenage years, I started to have questions about the Church, and wondered for myself if the things I had come to believe through years of church attendance were true. As I started reading the Book of Mormon with more purpose, I had cemented in my heart the things which I had been taught all my life.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily commitment. I read the scriptures, pray, and try to be an example of the teachings and attributes of Jesus Christ. I attend Church each week, and try to serve others in my area as I receive assignments to teach or to help run the week to week operations of my local church unit.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

David
This is one of the most exciting things about The Church! As I learn more about the gospel, I can pray to My Heavenly Father and feel with 100% certainty that what I am learning is true. We are a church of curious people, who are encouraged to find out for ourselves. I've found that as I try in faith to live the teachings of the Church that I receive the peace of the Holy Ghost in my heart and soul, and that my mind is enlightened. I know that anyone that will learn about the Church and pray with faith can have the same experience. I've seen it many times in the lives of others, and have seen the miraculous change and joy that has followed as a result. Personally, reading the Book of Mormon is one of the most powerful things I do to learn more about the Gospel, and to get answers to my questions. Show more Show less
