Hi I'm Alma Ohene-Opare

I grew up in Accra, Ghana, I love creating technology-based solutions to everyday problems and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent graduate of Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. I am a creative writer, aspiring entrepreneur, husband and father of two wonderful children. In my free time, I develop websites and web applications for friends and sometimes strangers who need a little help. I love to have intellectual discussions on religion, science, politics and life's many conundrums.

Why I am a Mormon

I became Mormon by virtue of my mum's conversion to the church in upstate New York in 1978. I choose to remain Mormon because the principles and values I have learned have shaped my life and have been crucial to the happiness I feel today and the success I enjoy with my family. I am Mormon because I love God and his beloved son Jesus Christ and know my existence here on earth is not by chance. I am Mormon because I know the love I feel for my family was never meant to end at death. I am Mormon because I know my life has a purpose and that I have the potential to become like my savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my everyday life; at home, at work and at church on Sunday. I live my faith by serving in my community whenever I am called upon and sometimes go out of my way to seek those in need. I live my faith when I teach the men of my congregation ever 2nd Sunday. I live my faith by being an example of what I believe and standing for the values I hold dear.
